The day hospital has places for up to 12 patients each day, spanning all types of mental health problems. Different activities and interventions are available to match the needs of different patient groups. These include groups for management of specific mental health problems, such as anxiety, depression or memory difficulties, and groups teaching specific skills to maintain quality of life and independence. Individual therapy, for example bereavement therapy, is also available where appropriate.
Each patient has a multidisciplinary care plan, drawn up early in the admission, which includes a discharge plan, ensuring that rehabilitation and recovery are the focus of the admission.
