Welcome to the Medicine for the Elderly Out Patient Service at St James’s Hospital
Medicine for the Elderly (MedEL) outpatient provides comprehensive geriatric assessment and treatment to those aged 65 and over. This service is provided by a team of Consultant Physicians in Geriatric Medicine specialising in Memory and Cognitive Impairment, Bone Health and Osteoporosis. The service includes a Clinical Nurse Manager led Warfarin Titration Clinic.
Clinics are held in the out patient clinical area of the Mercer’s Institute for Successful Ageing (MISA) located on the ground floor adjacent to the Institute’s main entrance.
